No: Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is an antibiotic, and the current thinking is that it does not decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. The birth control pills should work with the same high level of effectiveness, with or without sulfamethoxazole or trimethoprim.
