If a couple already plans to immediately marry, settle down, and raise a family IF there is a surprise baby, then there is no need to buy a Plan B pill to use as contraception. Otherwise, buying Plan B is a consideration. One can also ask her Ob-Gyn doctor for an IUD, which prevents this pregnancy and keeps working for many years until the IUD is removed.

Some basics: To get pregnant you need a fertile egg that travels to your Fallopian tube where it may encounter a sperm. It only takes one to do the job & any erect penis is secreting semen with sperm continuously. Any unprotected intercourse can result in pregnancy.
