A member asked:

I had protected sex in the starting of my fertile window (day 10) then took a plan b in the night just to be safe , again next morning i had protected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Fertile window": The "fertile window" in a 28-32 day regular cycle is from day 10-11 through day 18-19, accounting for the life of sperm and egg after ovulation. "Plan B" is of protective value only partially. With "protected" sex, Plan B only adds a very small amount of "safety". Ask your gyn provider about more secure birth control if your intent is to avoid "accidental" pregnancy.
