A member asked:

I am currently taking metriondazole for bv, and realized my birth control pills reclipsen expired one month ago, am i still protected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No worries: Pills are dry, compressed powders, and do not deteriorate in the time of merely a month or two or three. That means pills should have the same effect from a few months before the stated "expiration date," through a few months after the stated "expiration date." Life is not that exact.
