Sometimes: As long as sperm meets egg, pregnancy can start. If sperm live long enough to be there when an egg pops out of the ovary, there can be conception, and two lives will start a third life. Sperm usually live no more than 5 days but sometimes up to 7 days. That means having sex during the final days of menstrual bleeding might lead to conception 5 days later. If worried, can do a home pregnancy test.
