I had sex 8/31, i took pill 9/1. i was suppose to get my period 5 days ago . could i be pregnant?

Yes: Any woman who is having unprotected sex and misses a period should rule out pregnancy first with a home pregnancy test, or some doctors provide them in their office for free. Birth control pills are not fully effective for one month after starting to take them and would not be effective if started a day after unprotected sex.
