Hard to say: Was sex overly rough? Was there lack of lubrication? Did you have any symptoms before hand? Any signs of yeast infection? Protection? There really isn't adequate info for us to tell you the cause or the best treatment. Take care. By the way, if this is not resolving fairly quickly or if this was a high risk situation - would recommend medical assessment.
