Normal and safe: Masturbation is a normal human behavior and, of course, is completely safe and healthy. It is not something to be ashamed of and is a behavior normal for all people. You may talk less because it makes you anxious or ashamed. But just know that the behavior is normal and other kids your age are doing it too.

Safe: This practice is generally safe. The only potential problems would be mechanical abrasion if done with too much force or too frequently. However, most adolescents have no difficulty or safety issues with masturbation.
