Ovulation: In women with irregular periods it is difficult to gauge, whether and when they ovulate. If there is a concern of conception, a pregnancy test done as early as one week after the unprotected intercourse may tell, if the woman conceived. If the test is negative, a second test should be done in another week. If that test is negative, pregnancy is highly unlikely.
