Yes: Ovulation is about 2 weeks before the start of the next period. That means sex at midcycle has the usual chances of pregnancy... around 1 in 4, or 1 in 5. If no normal regular menstrual period comes when it is due, one can do a home urine pregnancy test a week after the period should have started. Test results are very reliable at that time.
