Check w/urologist: Either product can help erectile dysfunction, but neither will guarantee ejaculation which is a psychological and nervous system response. Depends a lot on the situation and sexual stimulation, not on an erection. The two responses are separate. Use what works best. Check w/your urologist.

A 22-year-old member asked:

If my boyfriend does not ejaculate into me during intercourse, can I still get chlamydia?

Yes: Throughout sexual activity there is a transfer of secretions between partners. The ejaculation may be a "final push" of material for the male, but contaminated fluids may pass long before that moment. Condoms, spermacides, lubricants or genital wash before or after intercourse may slow but not prevent transfer of this germ.

Absolutely: It is not the ejaculation that is the problem. It is the penis in the vagina. Condoms will prevent this. Be safe, be responsible and be informed. See my answer on trichamonas.

Yes: The ejaculate is not the only materail that can spred the virus. Your partner may have unseen lesions on his penis or in the urine tunnel that can hide the virus. The mechanical movements and fluids of sex can pass this on to you even if he does not ejaculate.
A 54-year-old male asked:

I tried a 100mg viagra (sildenafil) and didn't get a very rigid erection can I take another 1 2 or whole pill to see if it helps?

Viagra (sildenafil): You shouldn't take another tablet for at least 24 hours. Next dose, try crushing or chewing the viagra (sildenafil) tablet. In some men, the tablet doesn't dissolve and is not absorbed well. Crushing or chewing the tablet before swallowing it may solve this problem. If not, you may want to get an appointment with a urologist.

The sleep cycle.: Erections occur as part of the sleep cycle. This is called nocturnal penile tumescence (npt) and occurs 3-5 times per night, with the last one noticed as a morning erection. The cause is not known, but there appears to be a neural and hormonal circuit which is disinhibited during sleep, specifically in the rem stage of sleep.
