Yes you may conceive: The sperm may await ovulation ready to fertilize the egg by living in the cervical mucous for a few days. So yes, you might conceive if you have sex on Thursday even if you ovulate on Friday or Saturday. Women tend to be more fertile before and during ovulation than a day or two after ovulation.
