Risky Business: No guarantee of that. You should use protection all of the time if you don't want to get pregnant. A female with a short menstrual cycle could ovulate around then.

If it was an actual: period - then you are not pregnant. But, not all bleeding is a period - so you can take a home pregnancy test if you are not sure.
