I have herpes and have been prescribed anti viral medication to take everyday, however at the moment i have an aggressive flare up will these work?

Check with the doctor or clinic who prescribed it for the exact dose and duration. You can also ask if you should take a higher dose for ongoing treatment. For example, 1 g valacyclovir daily sometimes is more effective than 500 mg, especially if outbreaks are fairly frequent.
