Check for pregnancy: The most important thing you need to do is to be sure that you are not pregnant. It is possible that the light bleeding wasn't actually a period (light bleeding can be normal in early pregnancy), and your nausea is from being pregnant. If you are not pregnant, you can get nausea just from the hormonal changes associated with your cycle, or other causes. If it persists, see your doctor.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
