My period is 9 days late, it was supposed to come on on oct 23 & it didn't..i had sex on oct 22?

Pregnancy test: If you were anticipating your menses on 10/23, and did not have unprotected intercourse prior, specifically around 10/09, then your period is just delayed. However, you could have had a late ovulation around 10/22 and could have conceived at that time. If by 11/5 you have not come on your period, you may want to take a urine pregnancy test. In the meantime, have only protected intercourse.
