My 6 week old is always constipated so ive been inserting a cutip up her anus to get her to go and it has been working. is doing this habit forming?

Rectal Stimulation: This is not habit forming. An infants nerves to the rectum are still immature. There's a automatic reflex to relax when stimulated. This will improve with time. If formula fed, add ADULT apple juice to each bottle and shake well to help soften the stool. Use a thermometer tip with little bit vaseline instead of qtip in case cotton comes off in rectum - won't hurt but might make you nervous!
