Migraine headaches: are commonly associated with menstrual cycles, mostly related to hormonal changes, but other causes of migraine include stress, change in sleep schedule, caffeine, chocolate, red wine and some alcoholic beverages, as well as aged cheeses, and processed foods. Your period was off this month, so it may be that your whole chemistry was off due to one of the above stressors.
