During the last 7: This pills comes with 21 days of hormone pills and 7 days of placebo pills. When the hormone pills stop this drops your hormone levels which triggers the menstrual cycle. Which day is starts varies and is not clinically important. Bleeding on other days is called breakthrough bleeding. It can be annoying but is not harmful and usually resolves on its own.
