Near my ovulation time, i can feel cramp like feeling. Is this a sign that I am about to ovulate?

Likely mittleschmerz: Many women feel small pains around ovulation, before-during-or after - its called mittleschmerz. There are some abnormal causes of pain around ovulation but most often it's normal. Individual women choose different words to describe it, you say 'cramp-like' - many in my practice describe 'pinging' or 'pinching.'.

Depends on cycle: It depends on the length of your cycle. If your cycle is 40 days long, then you would ovulate roughly in the middle. If your cycle is as short as 21 days, then it would be on day 10-11.

Time of ovulation: I do not exactly understand your question. What do you mean by time. Ovulation is dependent on complex hormonal changes that are tied to the timing of your menstrual period etc.

A 31-year-old female asked:

My periods are very irregular can I ovulate any time between them?

Dr. Charles Whiting

Difficult to predict: If your periods are very irregular its hard to predict ovulation. In fact, some women in this situation are not ovulating at all. One way to find out is to get an ovulation prediction test. No prescription is require and you can find out at home when during the month you are most likely to ovulate. There are also helpful apps for your phone to help guide you. Best wishes!
