Oral contraceptive: Taking a multiple vitamin is not likely to change your libido if you don't have a major deficiency of vitamin or mineral. Please let the medical provider who prescribed the oral contraceptive know about the apparent effect on your libido. Another oral contraceptive could be considered. Take care.

No: Because the estrogen in birth control pills increases the sex hormone binding globulin, it lowers the circulating free testosterone, the hormone associated with sexual desire, and can diminish libido in some women. Vitamins will not reverse this but a different contraceptive might. Talk to your doctor about other options including the possibility of changing pills. Hope this helps.
