Growth?: A swollen vein is not a growth. If it came up in one day then there is little chance this is a growth. If this persists you should see your doctor or have your parents take you to the doctor. Best wishes.

Exam needed: It is not possible to diagnose this without examining your penis. A dilated vein should be easy to discern and should not be tender or very hard to the touch. If you have concerns about this, have a physician examine you.
