A member asked:

I have these awful sharp shooting spikes of pain in my butt and vagina during my periods and was wondering what could cause that? it's really painful.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Endometriosis: Endometriosis, or the presence of endometrial tissue in the abdomen can cause pain especially during menstruation. If you continue to have symptoms like this, see an OB doctor to have a definitive diagnosis established. Hope this helps!
