Fissure or fungus: Fissures and fungus infections are quite common. Perhaps a medication most likely to treat either one would be Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) cream (a combination of a steroid with an antifungal medication). Apply the cream sparingly twice daily; the lesion should clear within one week or less. If the problem persists, show it to a physician.
