Trying to conceive?: Not sure what shots, Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone)? When was last shot? When were you told it wouldn't be effective? Spotting, could be caused by infection, any fever, chills?
When were you told to expect period? Too many Q's to answer. See doc that gave shots.

Birth Control Pill: You screwed up. The bleeding if probably from skipping pills. You should however get a pregnancy test.
