72 hours: Plan B works better the soon wit is taken. It is 95% effective if taken within the first 24 hours. That falls to 85-87% by 72 hours. It will disrupt your menstrual period. It would be advisable to check a pregnancy test at 3 weeks after the intercourse just to be sure and get started on a more reliable method of contraception. Good luck.
