Blood?,beets? other?: Blood is certainly red, will "bleed" into the water in the bowl. Vegetable skins from peppers, tomatoes, etc are red but stay in the stool. Beets can give dark red stool. Black stool from blood, peptobismol, iron, charcoal pills.Antacids white from barium, antacids. Pale, putty from bile duct blockage gray from blood and bile duct blockage, maroon from blood, beets. Feel unwell, any questions: see your doc asap. Pain, lightheaded, etc.: er.
