Of course: Certain STDs can decrease your chance of getting pregnant. Many people get pregnant with STDs though. Getting tested is easy so don't put it off. If you have an std it can be treated which protects you and a future baby.

Usually: Unless the std (e.g. Gonorrhea, chlamydia) affects the pelvis and/or fallopian tubes that results in scarring and possible blockage, conceiving should be possible. More important is that if one suspects he/she has an std, that it be treated right away.

Sometimes a woman: Could develop infertility if an std has gone untreated. Have you had severe complications from a std? If you had an std that was promptly treated without serious complications - the chances are that pregnancy is an option. Please discuss any concerns you might have with your gynecologist.

STD ?'s: An "STD" will not protect against pregnancy, but if intercourse is unprotected otherwise, pregnancy is always a possibility. See your gyn physician for an exam, cultures and an appropriate treatment. Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy if your menstrual cycle is "late".
