Possibly: The most common cause of missed periods is pregnancy, but there are other causes. A pregnancy test should be first, and then other causes can be considered-- like hormone imbalances. Also some abnormal pregnancies (tubal or ectopic pregnancy) can be serious, even fatal, and may have a negative test. Thus you should see your doctor to figure out why you've missed your period.
