If you take plan b one step 3 hrs before unprotected sex are you still protected? & is it still effective?

Probably but why? : This seems like backward thinking. Use over the counter Plan B if ontercourse was within 72 hours to decrease the risk of unplanned pregnancy. It is a backup for when you make a mistake and have sex without birth control or condoms. Make good choices and avoid mistakes. Use condoms & start birth control. Avoid mistakes in life before they happen. This is true in all aspects of life not just sex.
