A member asked:

Tummy aches after taking birth control. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's not rare.: Most women who take birth control pills have no side effects. The most common side effect is irregular, unpredictable bleeding that gets better over time. Other possible side effects include breast tenderness, nausea, mood changes, headaches. Most of these get better on their own. If you're not miserable, keep taking it to see. If it doesn't get better after 3 months, talk to your dr.
