Go to free clinic: One possibility is to go to a free clinic. Other is to write to the pharmaceutical company so they can evaluate your income too see if you qualify. Anyway antivirals for herpes don't help too much. Only when pts have too many recurrences a year is worth it to take the medicine on a daily basis forever.

Generics: You must see a health care provider for examination and prescription if needed. Urgent care facilities can do this as well as community health centers. $4 generics offered thru walmart or target are the cheapest without insurance.

Important ideas. . .: Find a neighborhood doctor and establish a long-term relationship (easier done when one has insurance). Most docs will continue to see a regular patient during temporary hard times, for just a few dollars. A new patient will likely need a minimum of $70, at a doc who serves lower income areas. The generic Acyclovir should be pretty cheap, and can be taken at the first sensations of a herpes rash.
