Time: When you start a new birth control method it often takes a few months to adjust. I tell my patients to give a new method three months before we judge whether or not it is working well for them. Periods on this particular pill are usually very light so it may improve with time.

Normal: When you first start a birth control pill it is common to have some irregularity of bleeding the first cycle. Keep taking the pill. See what happens next month.
