A member asked:

My vagina is swollen and is not sore and itches is this serious? i am on my menstrual cycle and have been using tampons the whole time

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginal itch: The vagina, a mucous membrane, is the inside area of the female genitalia, and the vulva is skin, and the outside area. You could get a vaginitis, an inflammation of the vagina from condoms, tampons, or a yeast infection. You can get a vulvitis, from contact with detergents and soaps, and also from a yeast. Stop using everything to see whether it goes away. Keep the outside dry.
