Constipation: This is a comes problem with many potential causes. First make sure to drink enough fluids. If that doesn't work, continue to do so, but also try some laxatives. If those don't work, see your doctor.

Intestinal nerves: Nerve fibers in your intestine can be irritated as the intestine contracts and moves to get the 'poop' out. That is probably what is causing your pains when you have a bm. Try increasing fluids and fiber to help regulate your stools and maybe the pains will improve over time. See GI if they do not. Best wishes.
