A member asked:

How does the emergency contraceptive or morning after pill work in the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different ways: The morning after pill should be taken as soon after unportected intercourse as possible. The sooner, the more effective. It mainly works to prevent a follicle from ovulating. It can also, less effectively, prevent normal implantation.
