FDA regulated: Sperm donors are evaluated for health problems as well as tested for certain infectious diseases (such as hepatitis, hiv, ...Etc). These tests are fda required before the sperm can be released to the recepient.

Mainly STD's: Std screening usually includes hiv-1 and hiv-2 antibody, hepatitis b surface antigen, hepatitis b core antibody, hepatis c antibody, serologic test-syphillis, htlv-1 and htlv-2, CMV antibodies, test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. In addition, blood type and rh status is also recommended. Quarantine of specimen is recommended for 6 months when std screening is repeated before released for donation.

No Psych Evals: Most sperm donors are not required to do a psychological evaluation, including psychological testing. This is required for egg donors.
