Phi vs. para: Phimosis - inability to retract the foreskin over the glans penis. Paraphimosis is a condition when the foreskin is trapped behind the glans penis and cannot be pulled back over the glans penis. www.peedoc.com @drhtay.

Yes: Phimosis refers to the small size opening of the foreskin. Paraphimosis occurs when the foreskin is retracted and stuck in that position because of a phimosis. Paraphimosis is an urgent problem and requires reduction by an experienced physician. The longer paraphimosis is allowed to persist, the more painful and swollen the foreskin will get and the more difficult it becomes to treat it.
