Failure rate: All methods of birth control have failure rates, as does Depo-Provera provera. The failure rate is slightly higher the first month of use, but in general is around 5-7% depending on who you read. Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) used with a condom is even a better idea to prevent pregnancy as std prevention is important too.
