A member asked:

I recently started taking yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) birth control, could this be the same thing they talk about on tv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Yasmin and Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) have drisprinone as the Progesterone part of the pill and some people think that can cause more complications, even though recent studies show that it ididn't but if you are worried you can switch pills, i hardly ever use that pill anymore, my #1 pill that i prescribe is loloestrin- it has a differnet Progesterone so u do not have to worry about those potential problems.
