A member asked:

When should i expect my next period after starting birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 21 days: It depends on where you are in your cycle when you start your period and what kind of birth control you're on but for a traditional birth control pill, you take 21 days of active pills and 7 days of placebo or sugar pills (or may just take nothing). You will probably get a period when you start the placebo pills.
