Hematospermia.: The presence of blood in the semen, called hematospermia, can give a red to brown discoloration of the semen. Though this condition is alarming to patients, this is almost always a benign condition. For patients who are otherwise asymptomatic, the initial evaluation consists of a history, physical examination, and urinalysis.
