Can get pregnant: Sperm can survive for several days (4+) after intercourse and may still be present when you feel your ovulation pain.

You could get pregnt: If you don't want to get pregnant, I wouldn't relay on the pain you have when you ovulate. Sperm can hang around and get you pregnant up to 5 days after an episode of intercourse. You would need to avoid intercourse during your "fertile window". This is called "The Rythem Method" and works for some couples but it requires dedication and has a high pregnancy rate. Best wishes!
