Trauma? STD?: Anal fissures ("tears") are common in anyone, but especially in people who have receptive anal sex ("bottom" in day to day terminology among gay men). Sexual injury is the usual cause, but STDs like herpes or syphils also are common. See a doctor or clinic ASAP for professional evaluation and perhaps STD testing -- the sooner the better for accurate STD diagnosis.
