A member asked:

Is there any serious side effect or danger in taking viagara?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: viagra (sildenafil) is potentially dangerous when taken with other blood pressure lowering drugs. There should be a four hour window between viagra (sildenafil) and blood pressure lowering drugs (antihypertensive drugs). Persons taking drugs that contain nitrates (nitroglycerin for example) should NEVER take viagra (sildenafil). Viagra (sildenafil) may also cause priapism, a prolonged painful erection that may lead to permanent damage to the penis.
