Technically not: Sexually transmitted infections don't come out of the blue, somebody who has them have to give them to somebody. Thrush can occur spontaneously. Once you have it, though, a ping-pong effect may come into action.

Not and STD...: Oral Thrush is not an std. Neither is vaginal thrush--it is caused by an overgrowth of yeast and can be brought on by things such as antibiotics, diabetes, menstrual changes, etc. Babies frequently get oral thrush. Its an opportunistic infection that grows when there is a susceptible host. Best wishes!
