Plan B: Hi, it is safe and u should take at as early as 12 hours after sex but can be taken up to 72 hours after sex but it's less effective, but if you are sexually active it's best to choose a regular birth control and also don't forget the protection.

It can reduce chance of pregnancy by up to 95% if used within 24 hours. It continues to reduce the risk of pregnancy up to 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex, but is less effective as time passes.
