Here are some ...: Some discomfort at a spot or area indicates the functional integrity of nerve-endings and their distributing nerve fibers has been chemically or physically irritated or offended, resulting in malfunction of perceiving and conducting the message from the nerve-endings. Such changes may result from aging, diseases such as diabetes, arthritis of various causes, autoimmune diseases, etc.
