Uterine contractions that occur during orgasm and the quality of cervical mucus produced can aid sperm in gaining entry into the uterus. If you are able to achieve orgasm through masturbation or with your partner's help shortly after intercourse with the pelvis positioned to retain semen, that is ideal.
