A member asked:

When birth control affects libido, is the change usually long-lasting or does it subside after a few months?

Usually improves: Although there is a notable decrease in libido which accompanies the use of oral contraceptive medications, this is usually a result of the medication itself, and will resolve within a few months after stopping the medication. If it persists, discuss with your OB/GYN for additional recommendations and guidance.
